He completed his dermatology residency at Broward Health, training with experts at the University of Miami. Specializing in surgical dermatology, skin cancer treatment, and general dermatology, including acne and eczema, he is widely published in dermatologic literature and is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology.
Dr. Soheil Simzar, double board-certified in dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery, has been practicing since 2006. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Doctor of Medicine from UCLA, completed his dermatology residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and was Chief Resident. Dr. Simzar has advanced training in cosmetic and surgical dermatology, and his work is widely published. He has received accolades such as UCLA’s Dean’s Honor List and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Preceptorship Award. Outside the clinic, he enjoys time with his kids, basketball, and advocating for accessible dermatology care.

Can I be evaluated without submitting photos?
To ensure you receive the highest quality of care, your provider requires photos to evaluate your skin. These images are exclusively utilized for diagnostic purposes and stored on our HIPAA-certified platform.
Can I use VelaMD if I am under 18?
VelaMD is available for individuals aged 13 and up. For teens under 18, parental or legal guardian consent is mandatory. Latisse prescriptions are limited to those 18 years and older.
Can I use VelaMD if I am trying to get pregnant or breastfeeding?
Yes, we are able to offer treatment even if you are pregnant or nursing. Kindly notify your provider
Can I get a refund for prescriptions?
